Question for the web-savvy amongst you

Sep. 26th, 2005 | 04:50 pm

Who is your web host?

Who do you think provides the best service and value at the best price?

I'm thinking about BlueHost, but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

it's been a while since i've updated, so i thought i'd throw a few words up on the board here like a handful of already-chewed gum and see what sticks. livejournal elicits a funny reaction in me these days. i read it every day. infojunkies is still one of my best news sources. i love seeing when people i know and love write about things they know and love or don't know and thoroughly hate. yet i feel almost no compunction to write in my journal. even commenting seems wrong, even when i initiate a thread and then don't reply. i think there's been too many emotions and too many concerns of what other people will think of what i write in this journal that it no longer feels like it's mine. and yet here i am writing in it, wanting to connect on some level to all you souls who might read these words.

the contradictions keep the earth spinning on its axis.

3 more papers and i'm done with school for a few weeks. Summer school is going to be burly but it's one of the best times to get classes done, in quick bursts and flurries. December or bust, baby!

I am going to New Orleans next weekend, for Jazz-fest. I think I'm going, anyway - plans seem all up in the air because I haven't heard from my supposed place to stay or my road trip compadre. I'm more excited about seeing the city in all its voodoo magic sinister glory than the music. Though you'd better believe I'll be there May 1 to see Michael Franti and Spearhead. There's part of me that doesn't even want to go any more, but I know I'll have a good time.

The end of June brings the American Library Association conference in Chicago, which I will be attending in an effort to make connections, get more enthusastic about school and make things more immediate and relevant. I think it'll be interesting seeing so many librarians in the same space.

I still wait tables. Some days it has its moments and some days it's a season in hell.

Jenna and I have been dating for over a month now. While I can't really say I'm in love, I'm in definite like.

Isis and Lorca are still cats, still beautiful and still probably mystified at how weird humans are. Isis stares out the window as I write this, smelling something in the wind. Lorca claws the couch, and as I push him away from the arm he licks my hand.

And what will come from here? I graduate relatively soon and have no idea what I want to do or where I want to be. I'm just going to apply for a zillion jobs and see what kind of offers I get.
